The Chaplain:
Reverend Vindra Maraj-Ogden

I have been a Methodist minister since 2005 and Chaplain at Queenswood since April 2019. My background is a degree in Business Management and I am a qualified accountant (ACCA). As part of my ministerial training I have also done an MA in Christian Theology.

At Q, I am responsible for running the chapel programme and providing pastoral support to the school community, including students, staff and parents. I am here to encourage the spiritual development of all as they engage with the big questions about life and to have faith-based conversations.

I also look for opportunities where we can work with the local community and have arranged harvest gifts via Hatfield foodbank. At Christmas we prepare hampers which are distributed to students in local schools. As we emerge out of the pandemic I am looking for new ways of highlighting social justice issues and serving those around us.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to find out more about the chaplaincy and how best I can support the Queenswood community.

Spiritual Life

The School has a Christian foundation and our aim is to nurture faith through the varied and stimulating regular worship that is at the heart of school life.

We welcome those of other faiths or none and we are happy to arrange for them to receive the spiritual support that they need.

The School comes together as a community twice a week in our beautiful Chapel, and there are many special services throughout the year when we welcome families and friends to join us.
