Arrangements for the Festive Season

Thursday 24 November 2022

As Christmas is fast-approaching, please find details of the festive arrangements below from Mrs Stokes - Deputy Head (Pastoral).

Christmas Hampers

Rev’d Vindra sent all parents an email last week asking for your support in the preparation of Christmas hampers which we are giving to the charity Carers in Hertfordshire. The deadline for students to bring in their gifts has now been extended until Tuesday and you can find a reminder of the suggested gift for each year group here.

Christmas Cards

Well done to everyone who took part in the Christmas Card Competition - the winning designs will be unveiled soon! Please keep your eyes peeled for details of how to buy the cards, which will be sold in support of our chosen charity Noah's Ark Children's Hospice.

Made in Dagenham

Our school production of Made in Dagenham will take place on Tuesday 6th, Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th December at 7.30pm.

To book tickets for this production, please visit the Queenswood Box Office.

Christmas Carol Services - Queenswood Chapel

Monday 12th December at 3.30pm for Year 7,8 and 9 and their parents.
Tuesday 13th December at 3.30pm for Year 10,11,12 and 13 and their parents.

Following the service, refreshments will be available. Please complete this Google form if you would like to attend.

Please be aware that due to available capacity, this will be on a first come first served basis.

Christmas Jumper Day

We will be inviting the whole of the Queenswood community to wear a Christmas themed jumper on Wednesday 7th December. We would ask that each student who would like to wear a jumper, gives their tutor £1 which will then be donated to Save the Children.

Last day of Term

Our last day of term is on Wednesday 14th December with transport leaving at 12 noon.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me otherwise, I wish you all a wonderful Christmas break and a happy and healthy new year. We look forward to seeing you at the beginning of next term, for teaching to commence on Thursday 5th January.

Best wishes,
Ceri Stokes
